Les Diablerets
Our Resort - Les Diablerets
Located just over 90 minutes from Geneva, the quaint village of Les Diablerets sits amongst beautiful scenery in the enormous Glacier 3000 ski area. This resort is a laid-back and relaxed base for more experienced skiers with plenty of great opportunities to start exploring some off-pisting. Within reach of a number of ski areas, all covered by the region’s Alpes Vaudoises ski pass, this small village packs a powerful punch when it comes to the terrain on offer. Evenings in Les Diablerets are relaxed and perfect for recouperation after a challenging day of skiing.
On the slopes
The first four days of our ski trip will be spent with fully qualified off-piste ski instructors. We'll learn technique, how to use key safety equipment and have plenty of fun along the way. Lessons will run from 9am to 4pm with an hour for lunch for four days. We split into two smaller groups of around six people and each group will have their own instructor. We then have two days remaining to enjoy the mountains at our leisure.
The snow-sure Glacier 3000 ski area is easily accessible by the local ski bus, with the bus stop just a short three minute walk from the hotel. The bus takes around 15 minutes to reach the lift station.
In this ski area, you'll find a variety of runs suitable for all standards of skiers as well as some amazing scenery and views to enjoy. For those who relish the challenge of a good black run, there is a long red/black slope down to the valley and of course, plenty of interesting and varied off-piste opportunities for us to explore during our lessons.

The transfer time from Geneva Airport to Hotel Les Sources is approximately 2 hours, depending on weather and traffic.
Skiing Programme
Four full days of off-piste lessons are included in the price of the holiday, along with LVS-Set hire (transceiver, probe and shovel). Lessons will run from 9am to 4pm each day with one hour for lunch. The last two days will be at our leisure. We recommend bringing your own rucksack to carry this safety equipment in when you are skiing.
Ski Hire Poor piste conditions can be hazardous to ski equipment as uncovered rocks and stones can easily scratch and damage skis and snowboards. We strongly recommend you inspect your ski hire equipment at the start of your holiday and agree the state of their condition with the ski hire suppliers, as clients are responsible for the care of their hired equipment and should this equipment be damaged the ski hire suppliers are within their rights to ask for a compensation payment.
Ski Equipment This can be hired in the resort where you will be advised about the most suitable equipment for your standard of skiing. It is very important to have ski boots that are comfortable and fit well, so do not be afraid to keep going back and changing your boots until you get a good fit. For your safety, we advise that you wear a ski helmet wherever possible.
Ski Passes 6 day adult CHF375
Ski Hire 6 day hire: Skis & poles: Red CHF171; Blue CHF125; Green CHF94.50; Boots CHF 72; Helmet CHF 28.
Prices are approx and subject to change.
Dress Code
On a skiing holiday, dress is generally very informal, the emphasis being on comfort and warmth. We recommend that you pack a pair of skiing trousers and warm ski jacket or a waterproof shell and separate fleece lining or an all-in-one ski suit. Thermal or silk underwear is recommended. Cotton/cotton mix roll necks, T-shirts or sweat shirts; several thin layers are better than one thick layer.
Ski socks, ski gloves or mitts and a hat or headband are suggested. Where temperatures are expected to be well below zero, take a facemask or balaclava. Moon boots or waterproof walking shoes are a must. Suntan cream (high protective factor), lip salve, sunglasses and/or goggles are all very useful items to pack. Casual clothes are ideal for the evenings; it is unusual on skiing holidays to dress formally in the evenings. We recommend bringing a rucksack to carry the off-piste safety equipment in when you are skiing.
Currency
Swiss franc
Gratuities
We suggest a Group Collection to cover transfer drivers, and hotel staff of CHF30.00 per person or the equivalent in local currency. We also suggest a separate collection of CHF20.00 per person for ski instructors. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated).
As is customary, ‘the hat’ will be passed around for the driver and guide on all optional excursions. For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, or taxi fares, your Tour Leader can advise of an appropriate percentage add on. If you choose to have ski lessons, you may also like to thank your ski instructor at the end of the week with a token of appreciation.
