Join us this Christmas for an extended festive break at our brand new Solos venue in lovely Cheshire. We stay at the four-star DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Spa Chester - 2 miles from the historic city of Chester. Over the four nights, our specially designed comprehensive package includes a traditional festive lunch, guided walking tour of Chester, a day trip to north Wales and evening entertainment – a great way to spend the most wonderful time of the year!

What you'll be doing
Day One: Arrival Day
Welcome to the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Spa We can check-in from 3pm and afternoon tea will be available. Following a welcome meeting hosted by our Tour Leader, we will enjoy dinner together in the hotel restaurant.

Day Two: Christmas Eve
After breakfast, we take our private coach for our day out in North Wales! Our exclusive excursion takes us to see the sights of Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, Ogwen Valley in Snowdonia and a lunch stop in Conwy (own cost), with the castle as your back-drop. Before finishing our day, we drive past Llandudno to see the twinkling lights over the town! Once back at the hotel, dinner is served in the hotel restaurant, followed by this evening's entertainment.

Day Three: Christmas Day
On Christmas Day, we have an opportunity to enjoy the hotel facilities. It is then time for the main event where we sit down to enjoy our Christmas Day lunch with all the trimmings! During the afternoon, we relax at the hotel, with the option to watch the Kings Speech and later that evening, light buffet dinner will be served.

Day Four: Boxing Day
After a leisurely breakfast, we meet our walking guide to explore all the historic sights this city has to offer, including the old Roman walls, Cathedral and Tudor-Style half timber buildings. This afternoon can be spent taking advantage of the hotel's leisure facilities. Later in the evening, we enjoy dinner together followed by evening entertainment.

The four-star DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Spa Chester is an 18th century manor house, surrounded by 12 acres of landscaped grounds just three miles form the heart of historic Chester. With excellent facilities and complimentary car parking, it's the perfect place to celebrate the festivities with new friends.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Spa Chester offers a rooms and dining in a classic surrounding with complimentary parking and WiFi. There is a pool, steam rooms and jacuzzi which can be accessed for 2 hour bookings via reception and a supplement of £20.00 per person. There is also a 10 treatment room spa with pre and post treatment relaxation areas with an excellent menu of treatments available to choose from (payable locally).

Rooms at the DoubleTre by Hilton Hotel & Spa are modern with complimentary WiFi, LCD TV, tea & coffee making facilities, hairdryer and in room safe. Bathrooms have a bath with shower over and are stocked with luxurious bath products.

Location & Transport
The hotel is located 2 miles from Chester's historic city centre. Complimentary Car parking is available and the nearest station is Chester Railway station which is 1.9 mile away.
Dress Code
The dress code for during the day is casual. In the evenings the dress code is smart with gentlemen requested to wear a shirt and tie. Comfortable shoes for walking and sightseeing are recommended. Further details about the Christmas package will be sent with your itinerary.

Gratuities
There is often confusion on the question of gratuities, since it frequently depends on the type of holiday, location and, of course, your attitude towards tipping, as to what is normally expected. In order to give you a rough idea, we have given appropriate guidance below. The Tour Leader will be on hand to offer advice or suggestions if required but gratuities are offered entirely at the sole discretion of the individual.We suggest a group collection at the beginning of your holiday to cover drivers, guides and hotel staff (including restaurant, kitchen and reception staff) of approximately £10.
Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of bar staff and housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (the rounding up of the drinks bill and a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated). As is customary, ‘the hat’ will be passed around for the driver and guide on all optional excursions. For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, restaurants expect a 10% gratuity (do check that service has not already been added to your bill). For taxis 10% of the metered fare.
Leisure Facilities
Spa treatments available for an additional fee.
Access to the pool, sauna and steam rooms is subject to a £20 charge and a 2 hour timeslot can be booked with reception, with same day bookings available.
