Day Three: Øresund Bridge & Tour of Malmö
Today we make our way across the border to Sweden. In doing so, we cross the Øresund Bridge, a remarkable engineering feat that connects Copenhagen, Denmark, with Malmö, Sweden and appears to come out of the sea thanks to the Drogden Tunnel on the Danish side. It spans the Øresund Strait, providing a vital road and rail link between the two countries. We arrive into Malmö, known for its diverse cultural scene, innovative architecture, and progressive urban planning. Malmö has transformed from an industrial hub to a modern, vibrant city. We discover the old cobblestone streets of Gamla Stan, the old town, where we will find beautiful historical sights such as St. Petri Church, the Old Graveyard, Malmöhus Castle and Malmö's oldest pharmacy (The Lion Pharmacy). We will also see some lesser known parts of the city such as the university area and some of the locals' favourite secret spots. We then head back across the bridge to Copenhagen.
