Day Two: Gower Peninsula

Today, we enjoy a full day tour of the beautiful Gower Peninsula – the UK’s first AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) established in 1956. Our tour begins in the charming village of Mumbles, where we'll explore the historic Mumbles Pier and admire the iconic lighthouse. Next, we'll follow the stunning coastline to Langland Bay, where a scenic cliff walk awaits. This 2 km trek takes us along rugged shores to the beautiful Caswell Bay. Next, we head inland to visit the ancient St. Illtud’s Church in Ilston, home to a remarkable 3,000-year-old Yew Tree. Then, it's time to indulge in a delicious lunch at a traditional local pub (lunch at additional cost). After lunch, we set off for the breathtaking Rhossili, renowned for its dramatic cliffs and sweeping views of Worm's Head. As the day draws to a close, we’ll visit Maen Arthur, or Arthur’s Stone—a fascinating Neolithic burial chamber steeped in legend and offering panoramic views of the Gower landscape.

Day Three: Brecon Beacons

After breakfast, we journey out to Brecon Beacons for a half day tour. We begin with a visit to the renowned Sgwd Henrhyd Waterfall, famously known as the Batcave entrance from the Batman movies. Next, we’ll explore the breathtaking Brecon Beacons National Park before taking a scenic drive through South Wales’ historic coal mining valleys, a region that thrived on coal during the 19th century. We finish the tour back in Swansea, where we'll say goodbye to our group.

Gratuities
There is often confusion on the question of gratuities, since it frequently depends on the type of holiday, location and, of course, your attitude towards tipping, as to what is normally expected. To give you a rough idea, we have given appropriate guidance below. The Tour Leader will be on hand to offer advice or suggestions if required but gratuities are offered entirely at the sole discretion of the individual. We suggest a group collection at the beginning of your holiday to cover drivers, guides, porters and hotel staff of approximately £15. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip.
