Gran Canaria’s never-ending appeal begins with its beaches. Our hotel is located in the larger-than-life coastal resort of Playa del Ingles – on the southernmost tip of the island. The resort boasts 3km of stunning white sand, with an array of water sports on offer on the beach. The resort’s 2km promenade is packed with bars, restaurants, pubs and shops – all to keep us entertained in the evenings for the week! Playa del Ingles is famous for its extravagant nightlife. There are hundreds of bars, clubs, and discos open until the early hours of the morning that cater for all tastes. For a more laid-back evening, we can go to the city of Las Palmas where we can find the Casino Las Palmas if we fancy a flutter. Or we can head to the stylish and chic area of Meloneras, where there are numerous bars and cafes. There are plenty of places to explore on this beautiful island to watch the sunset whilst enjoying a local tipple.

Golf Club Insurance
Clients will most probably find that their golf clubs are covered on their household insurance policy. Most policies cover a single item such as golf clubs for a period out of the country. However, clients should make very sure that they do have adequate cover.
Buggy, Trolley & Club Hire
Most golf clubs have these items available for hire, however this is not always the case, so clients would be advised to check with us beforehand if they have any specific requirements.
  • Golf buggy - €50 per round / Anfi Tauro €50 - obligatory to use a buggy on this course
  • Trolley - €7 per round (€12 Salobre Golf) / Anfi Tauro not available - obligatory to use a buggy on this course
  • E-Trolley - €12 per round (Maspalomas Golf Only)
  • Golf Club Hire - €50 per round Taylor Made  / €50 Salobre Golf Callaway
Extra Green Fees per round
  • Salobre Golf €125
  • Maspalomas Golf, Meloneras Golf & Anfi Tauro Golf €110
The above prices are approximate and are subject to change by the golf courses. All are payable locally in resort and not available to pre-book
Carriage of Clubs
We advise you to use a light golf bag when packing your clubs. We suggest you wrap a towel round the neck of the clubs to protect them and stop them rattling around whilst in transit. It is also important to then place the bag and clubs in an outer carrying bag, which can be purchased from any good golf shop. There is an extra charge for golf club carriage prices vary by airline. Please call for up to date prices
What to Wear
Golf attire during the day. We suggest smart casual for the evenings. The hotel requires gentlemen to wear long trousers at dinner. No shorts are permitted. Golf shoes with soft spikes are required.
Gratuities
We suggest a Group Collection to cover transfer drivers, and hotel staff of €25.00 per person. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated). As is customary, ‘the hat’ will be passed around for the driver and guide on all optional excursions. For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, or taxi fares, your Tour Leader can advise of an appropriate % add on.
Passports and visas
To enter the Canary Islands your passport must meet 2 requirements. It must be:
  • less than 10 years old on the day you enter (check the ‘date of issue’)
  • valid for at least 3 months after the day you plan to leave (check the ‘expiry date’)
Check both the issue date and the expiry date in your passport. If you renewed your passport early, extra months may have been added to its expiry date. This could affect the requirement for your passport to be less than 10 years old.

A visa is not required by holders of passports endorsed “British Citizen” for stays of upto 90 days in any 180-day period. Please note that stays in other EU countries counts towards this 90 day period. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the correct visa, a valid passport and any other travel documents for your holiday.

All information provided relates to British citizens who hold or are entitled to apply for a British passport. For the most up-to-date visa information please visit; Spain Foreign Advice If you are not a British citizen and do not hold a British passport, you must make your own enquiries as to the applicable requirements.
