Solos Exclusive Turkey - Tried & Tested!
How the first half of the Solos Exclusive season went down in Turkey!
When we introduce a property to our Solos Exclusive portfolio β it's important we get it right for our group of Solos. So we sent out one of our own at the start of the season to get a real feel for the resort thatβs got our guests talking (in all the right ways)!
The Beyaz Suites
π Modern, stylish, and blessed with spectacular sea views β the kind that make waking up each day an absolute joy.
πΉ A brilliant beach bar serving delicious food and drinks all day long β perfect for a light lunch, a sunset cocktail, or a cheeky afternoon bite.
β Breakfast by the ocean? Yes, please. Starting the day with a cuppa and the sound of the waves was pure bliss.
π In the evenings, the beach bar became a buzzy social spot β loads of space for everyone to gather, relax, and have a chat.
πββοΈ The pool and decked area were absolutely stunning β ideal for lounging with a book or a glass of something chilled.
π Thereβs even direct step access into the sea β spot on for a refreshing dip, and morning swim.
"The best beachfront location"
I just couldn't believe how close this property is to the beach - a 30 second walk (if that!). If you're looking for an authentic, and traditional Turkish experience amongst the locals, in a really chilled out resort, you won't be disappointed.
Everything you could need is nearby - a supermarket for water (and the odd bottle of wine for that pre-dinner drink on the balcony!), plenty of ATMs, pharmacy, a coffee shop that does some of the best coffee and cakes I've ever had, and a bus stop which can take you straight to Bodrum!
"A real Turkish experience"
This really is an experience - the perfect holiday destination if you're seeking solitude and sunshine - I saw and experience things that I probably wouldn't have done if I hadn't stayed here. Learning about history, understanding how the locals live and eating traditional Turkish food, all whilst getting a bit of sun in a stunning location. Such a beautiful spot after sundown too - I saw the most spectacular sunset whilst enjoying a couple of drinks on the decked beach bar with my fellow guests.
Plus, the choice of excursions was phenomenal - there was something for everyone! I experienced culture at the amphitheatre, ate my body weight in Turkish delight, held a baby turtle, bought a hand-made carpet and so much more! A must-do however is to spend a day in Bodrum - it's a short taxi drive away (or you can get a bus there if you fancy). During the day, there are lots of shops and a market every Friday (you have to do some shopping for the 'real fakes'!). The evenings are lively with some great restaurants and bars - we sat and listen to live music one night, whilst sipping rose, which was a highlight.
Alice's top recommended excursions:
Most unique experience β The Jeep Safari
Journey up into the mountains with your fellow Solos guests, with spectacular views at the top. Itβs like no other tour Iβve ever been on and is perfect for those wanting to see how the locals live and explore more of the countryside. The carpet factory, turtles and mud bath all in one day!
Best value for money β The Bodrum City Tour
I would encourage everyone to go on this excursion as itβs a great way to get into Bodrum, and get the most famous sites ticked off your list. It allows you the freedom to explore after your tour, with free time to venture further at your leisure.
A full day on the water - The Boat trip
Guests can enjoy a smooth sail, and four optional swim stops. There are enough sunbeds on-board for everyone too. Lunch is a really good selection of Turkish food β probably one of my favourite lunches of the week.
