And whilst you can buy toiletries and the like 'on the go', there are certain necessities that it always helps to have in the suitcase. If only to make your holiday feel as stress-free as possible.
So take a little look at our travel checklist to join your fellow solo travellers suitably packed and prepared:
Universal Power Adapter: Ensuring your devices can be used in different countries is crucial.
Travel insurance documents: Make sure you have a copy of your travel insurance policy and emergency contact details.
Copies of important documents: Photocopies or digital copies of your passport, ID, visa, and other essential documents in case of loss or theft.
Local currency: Having some local currency on hand can be helpful, especially upon arrival.
Appropriate clothing for local customs and activities: Research the culture and dress code of your destination to ensure you pack respectful and suitable clothing.
Your passport: Ensuring it’s less than 10 years old on the day you enter (check the ‘date of issue’).
Spare prescription glasses/contacts: In case your primary ones get lost or damaged.
Sunscreen and insect repellent: Depending on your destination and activities, these can be essential for your comfort and health.
Medications and personal hygiene products: Don't forget any prescription medications, along with travel-sized toiletries.
Entertainment: Books, e-books, or other entertainment to keep you occupied during downtime.
