This journey, a culmination of dreams and aspirations, was fuelled by a year of diligent saving while others around me invested in cars, climbed the property ladder, or embraced lavish lifestyles. In those earlier years, devoid of guided tours and solo travel communities, I navigated the world armed only with a map, dined alone for weeks, and relied on guidebooks for itineraries. Experiences that pushed me right to the edge of my comfort zone and beyond, helping me realise that when it comes to finding yourself, you may need to get a little lost.
