Located just 400 meters to the Monte Gordo Beach in the south east Algarve, the sporty four star Prime Energize Hotel offers an active escape. For culture, the Castro Marim caste, the Milreu Roman ruins, Cacela Velha village with its world-calls views and beautiful centre of Tavira, among many others are a short ride away.

Spend your time away from pickle ball taking advantage of the hotels many facilites, which include beach club, swimming pool and a spa and massage leisure centre. Rent a bike to explore the local area or chat to our tour guide about options for exploring further afield.

Pickle Ball will be played at the Vila Real de Santo António courts, an excellent facility previously used for the Portugues National Pickle Ball Championships. Our Solos Tour Leader will be on hand to arrange friendly and competative games.

 
The pickle ball schedule includes courts available on :
2 days - 9am to 1pm and 4pm to 6pm  
3 days - 9am to 1pm
 
Additional court time can be requested locally

Four-star Prime Energize Hotel

The four-star Prime Energize hotel is 400 meters from Monte Gordo beach, in the south east Algarve and  just 45 minutes from Faro is sports focused with excellent facilities from sports, spa to beach club.

Facilities include

This sports-focused hotel offers a selection of daily sports activities including yoga classes, pilates, running and walking all included. You will also find an indoor heated pool, rooftop outdoor pool and bar, beach club, gym and spa where treatments can be booked for an additional fee. Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the property and bikes are available for rent.

Room includes

The rooms are decorated in soft, neutral colours offering a soothing and calming setting for a good night's sleep. Private facilities include a tv, hair dryer, pillow menu, safe, free Wifi, kettle and tea and bathroom with a shower over the bath.

Transfer Time
The transfer time from Faro Airport to the hotel is approximately 45 minutes, depending on weather and traffic.
Passports and Visas

We recommend that you check passport and visa requirements for the country you are visiting at the State Department if you have a U.S. Passport. Most countries require that your passport have at least six months validity when traveling internationally, and many require that you have one to two blank visa pages for either an entry stamp or visa. As a general rule, please check that your passport has six months validity beyond your planned trip, and if not, please renew your passport with plenty of time to provide Solos with your updated passport information by the final payment due date.

Health Requirements

We recommend that you check if vaccinations are required for your destination at the CDC’s recommendations for your visited destination(s). We also recommend you purchase travel protection. A travel protection plan can often assist with medical emergencies and reimburse costs that are covered by the plan. Please verify coverage details with Solos before you travel.

Pickle Ball Paddles are not provided and you must provide your own equipment.
 
10 pickle balls will be provided.
Gratuities
There is often confusion on the question of gratuities, since it frequently depends on the type of holiday, location and, of course, your attitude towards tipping, as to what is normally expected. To give you a rough idea, we have given appropriate guidance below.
 
The Tour Leader will be on hand to offer advice or suggestions if required but gratuities are offered entirely at the sole discretion of the individual. We suggest a group collection at the beginning of your holiday to cover drivers, guides, porters and hotel staff of approximately €25.00 per person. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burdern of who, when and how much to tip.
